I heard good thing about their 10pay FE product, and would like to add them to my other 3 carriers. Can anyone provide me a contract with them?

I have not heard anything about them going out of business, my agents still write with Settlers regularly. Their commissions are not great, but their product is very competitive. If you want a contract, I am discuss one with you.

I heard they were exiting the FE business next year.

Pretty sure that is wrong. Settlers has one of the best final expense products on the market. They also have fairly high commissions when you factor in the renewals (which everyone should.)

Jody made an error on the 10-pay product though. It does knock your commission way down. 20-pay does not.

Am interested in finding out more about Settlers life. Can you tell me more about their products?

There is plenty of info on the forum if you do a search.
Good rates
3 tiered application
10 pay, 20 pay, lifetime pay and single pay options.
Monthy bill as well as all the regular billing options.
Slightly lower 1st year commissions but decent LIFETIME renewals and GREAT 10 year renewals.

They told me they were not licensing any new agents right now.... Too full! Too many signed up over the summer.
How do they do they know they aren't missing out on a "superstar" producer?..........no, not me, but they still lost my one policy a month. For $22.....:err:

Thay have too many agents is such a weak excuse on their part. As I said in a post above Settlers will exit the FE business next year. Wait and see.

Won't happen. Settlers is the best company in final expense. They just don't want to contract a million agents who are dabbling with FE.

You have always been better off contracting through a GA for Settlers unless you have a proven record of FE production.

Most agents who want Settlers can have a 100% contract with 11% renewals and if you have a proven history you can get higher.

i AM ONLY REPEATING INFO THAT WAS GIVEN TO ME BY AN EX-REGIONAL MGR, COUPLE WEEKS AGO. MAYBE HE WAS JUST TELLING ME A LIE, I CAN NOT VERIFY ACCURACY. 2 years ago no one thought Shenandoah would exit the FE biz.

Let's analyze: The FE co.'s that have the higher priced premiums make their $$ selling policies, privately owned, and do not answer to wall street. The cheaper premium co.'s make their $$ not by selling the policy alone, they make a substancial part of their $$$ by investing these cheap premiums to help offset the risk/cheap premium. Their model works fine until the economy recedes (recession). Then their capital on hand does not satisfy the regulators and you have another Shenandoah. Remember how cheap Shenandoah's FE premiums were?
