Should I Buy Adobe Acrobat or Creative Suite 6?

I might suggest to the OP that time might be better spent on his/her core business and not in the design process of marketing materials. It might be a better idea to hire a designer to create flyers... or use a service like 123Print who has lots of templates that can be modified:

Vertical Flyers

I've had good service with this company over the years for biz cards. I don't know about their flyers as I don't use them in my marketing... I use free materials from carriers... almost always PDFs.

That said, if he/she has a flair and talent for design an enjoys the process than maybe they should consider doing that as a service... perhaps as a "sideline" or P/T enterprise?

Having owned a book publishing biz for twenty years I would venture that there are far fewer competent graphic designers than there are competent insurance agents on the planet... and there is always demand for them.

Maybe something for the OP to think about?

I am here.

So I worked on inDesign today and liked it. I will try to use illustrator. Anyone doing their own flyers, brochures, documents using Illustrator?

I have used both inDesign and Illustrator. They are awesome and powerful programs. If you have the eye for creativeness you can definitely create some amazing pieces. Brochures, documents, flyers, promotional pieces, and even conceptual design for web pages. They are robust programs (I probably only use 5% of what they can do).

Also, there are great training tools out there to learn them inside and out. You can find a lot on youtube, but lynda.com and udemy.com have paid classes that are really in depth.

Not sure if you bought anything yet but CreativeCloud is the way to go.

Best,
Alex
