SSDI + Medicare T65 No Drug Plan

Not to hijack the thread but I had a similar situation yesterday.

Client was disabled and offered a and b back in '99. He declined because he has VA. He now turns 65 in July and wants part B now.
He gets a reboot at 65 right? and won't pay any penalty.

Hey man! Good here. Ditched Internet leads and selling med supps in other states mid year last year.
Just hired 3 TM's to cold call last Monday. Ready to pull my hair out listening to these calls lol. You?

Sounds like either the "higher ups" are wrong or Medicare is.

I have a disability and Part A only. Can I get Part B when I turn 65?

If you're still getting disability benefits when you turn 65, you won't have to apply for Part B. Medicare will enroll you in Part B automatically. Your Medicare card will be mailed to you about 3 months before your 65th birthday. If you don't want Part B, follow the instructions that come with the card.

If you're not getting disability benefits and Medicare when you turn 65, contact Social Security to sign up for Medicare.

When I first became eligible because of a disability, I didn’t take Part B because I was covered under my spouse/family member's group health plan. They're retiring and I want to enroll in Part B. Will I have to pay more because I delayed my enrollment?

It depends. Generally, you can sign up for Part B, without penalty, during a Special Enrollment Period if both of these apply:

You didn’t sign up for Part B when you were first eligible because your spouse was working.
You had group health plan coverage based on their work.

No penalty. And if they were paying the LEP, it stops at age 65.

MEDICARE AND OTHER PROGRAMS FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES

If you don’t enroll in Part B when you are first eligible, you may have to pay a higher premium until you turn 65. Any penalty assessed will be removed once you turn 65.
