Stanford Financial Charged with "Massive" Fraud

I'm beginning to think a significant percentage of "financial services" firms need a fair trial and a speedy hangin'.

History does seem to be repeating itself a bit. This was the Lincoln S&L scandal, except that Lincoln actually had offices. I do wonder that with "brokered CDs" such as those available at Merrill Lynch, SmithBarney, UBS, etc, whether the Stanford ones were available. Hmmmmm.

I couln't agree with you more. What I am seeing today is the theft by monetary inflation on the people, and their future grandchildren because of finalcial institutions. To me that is considered T-R-E-A-S-O-N!!!
HANG EM ALL, SHOOT EM ALL.

If there isn't justice soon, glen beck mentioned on orielly there will be a revolution, and I for one hope so.

Nice going...ripping more people off. I wonder if he's flying a plane and attempting to fake his death.........

The taxpayers probably won't be so lucky as to have that happen. The actual suicides will comes from the innocent victims; widows, retirees, etc.

Apparently Mr. Stanford is being accused of offering CD's from his bank in Antigua.

I am sure you are all aware that more regulation (Big Gov't) will be the answer to this administration. Any thoughts?

Agree and I've almost reached the conclusion it's best to leave that wad of money, in the sock, in the bedroom. My luck my house would catch on fire and bye-bye money. Maybe stick it out back, in a box, under ground.

You work all of your life and this happens to your retirement. It's happening too often............

But don't you find it a bit odd that these folks did what they did in the first place? It seems like they always want to blame someone else. They thought they were getting "a good deal" at the time, and failed to do their own due diligence. what can I say, they're advertising investing in life settlements all the time on the radio now...
