Starting New Agency-Looking for Partner/Book of Business

Hello, I have a successful consulting business located outside of Philadelphia PA. Our current/past clients are ideal prospects. I am looking for a business partner to start a L/H & P/C agency. Ideal person would be one that is currently active in sales looking to start their own business. We provide the office, setup, marketing and management, which is already in place for our existing business and looking for someone who can sell. I would also entertain purchasing a book or agency but do not know how to look for either of those. Generally I would place a help wanted ad but not sure this is the correct path. Any suggestions? I assume you mean why start an agency - For a couple of reasons. 1) Another source of revenue 2) I was in the insurance business 9 years ago 3) Given the nature of our current business, we have the ability cross sell all lines 4) Given the nature of our current business we have the ability to be different.

It's tough to reveal too much info and thought this might be a good place to start.

As I mentioned, I prefer not to reveal what business I am in, but our clients are the decision makers for all insurance (medical/property/casualty/WC etc.) for the company. They look to us to either refer or handle it. This would not just be for our clients.
