Starting out in life insurance

Are there any veteran life insurance agents that could possibly assist us new life agents the way the health agent has for getting started in health insurance? Also, I have read many posts about life insurance cold calling scripts but haven't found any that gives a life script just health scripts have been given. Can any life agents suggest scripts they use specifically for life insurance cold calls?

If you mean calling the white pages as "cold calling"- No. If you mean a script for calling a lead (responded to some marketing), then - Yes. We tailor our scripts to match the type of lead. As WIN said, find an MGA to work with that will provide you with all the tools and training you need to be successful. Many carriers will require that you work through an MGA so find one that offers something besides contracts.
