State Farm New Agent Contract / Brainwashing / Details

Receive direct mailers from two different SF agents yesterday. It was the same advertisement with different names. Those agents are approximately two miles apart and are about 5-7 miles from me. However, there are 3 other SF agent within about two miles from my house. Looks like they are falling all over each other. We have an area population of about 150k and 18 SF offices.

Great for state farm both agents paying for what's really branding with no distinction.

Great for State Farm and terrible for the agents. If there advertisement caused any action it would probably be for me to contact my closest SF office.

I am just about ready to Co Author a book with Ins 1832.

Ch 1: Shoot first ask questions later. We'll use the dead dog story.
Ch 2: Mortgage brokers are the key. We'll use a mix of our stories.
Ch 3: Offend every one. Like Tosh O. Noting is sacred. The Pros and Cons
Ch 4: Captive vs Indy....
Ch 5: The day to day
Ch6: Ins 1833 doesn't know everything, that's why he's here asking great question.
Ch7: The next level.
Ch8: Want to win long term, Own!
Ch9: The Grind.
Ch 10 This is Sales. You will have to SELL something!
Ch 11: Navigating your carrier relationships- I'll have to write this ch because Ins1324 thinks there is no purpose in this and that they are all "scum bags".... We'll have his comments along the edges in this ch. Etc Etc.

It's clearly understood that the old SF contract (for agents who opened up before I was out of diapers..) worked out very well. Today's AA05 contract...well read the link below..

As for GXR2 I'll again grace you w/ some advice. If you're susceptible to being poisoned by others & others are able to impact your happiness...then you may never achieve your true potential. The greatest gift I've been blessed with is not giving two $hits what anybody says or thinks. When I opened my own agency EVERYBODY had 50 reasons why it was "risky" and 50 reasons why it couldn't work & blah blah blah. Again...zero f*cks given bra.

I believe there are wolves & sheep in this world. I see it every single day in this business. I am a wolf...an @$$hole wolf who will murder baby fawns to fatten my belly & grow my wolf pack strong. I'm not sure what you are...maybe you're a young wolf who's beta to the elder wolves but in reality you could topple them quickly & become an Alpha wolf. Maybe..you're a sheep?

I believe you're still trying to remove my foot from your rectum for blasting you about opening your own agency. I suggest you embrace what I have to offer & stop making every gosh darn excuse why you can't open your own agency. And don't confuse my request for information on selling/merging w/ a huge regional IA as weakness..or being unable to "get commercial business" on my own.

Succeeding in this business is about stacking the odds in your favor. Put an agency in a real estate office, or in a car dealership, or in a CPA/financial firm...do what you need to do to stack the deck in your favor. Transitioning into the commercial world w/ an established 70MM agency who has the infrastructure (account managers, claim managers, risk control teams, relationships with the biggest commercial carriers..) is something that must not be ignored as there's serious power in numbers. This circles back to the OP of this thread as starting w/ SF is NOT stacking the deck in your favor.

little turd.

Yea- if commercial is your passion, it is harder to compete w/ the big guys.... Especially w/ the admitted markets. I do home, auto, life, med supp because this is more profitable from a back end operations stand point than large commercial for a small agency.

HUMMMMMMM, I tried to lighten the mood.

Let me try again. So a guy finds a genie's lamp on the beach, rubs it three times, Genie pops out and says I'll give you three wishes. But whatever you wish for your mother in law will get twice as much.

1st wish- 1 billion dollars
2nd wish- Own a winery in Italia.
3rd wish- let me think about it.

Few days later. I got it!

3rd wish- I want to be beaten half to death.

That might be worth it.

@ insurance666 ... I seem to recall a short little man with a funny little mustache ... His rants and accomplishments didn't remove the fact he was psychotic.
