Staying Appointed With Fe Companies

I feel like I am missing some important secret. I have been appointed with two FE companies and terminated by both without warning. Until I receive the letter, I am continuing to strategize, perform business development activities, etc. ... I am continuing to work. Only to find I have been doing it for nothing because I no longer have a product to sell!

Is the secret that these companies want you to spend a certain amount on their leads or they don't consider you a worthwhile representative?

Is the secret that these companies are only collecting appointment fees and wasting our time from the beginning!

The last company sent me a termination letter after 3 months while I was still learning, but I was building up to sales. The reason for the termination refers to the clause in the Agent Contract, which states they can fire you for anything at any time, which I find in all Agent Contracts.

I am seeking insight and advise. I truely love the the FE market, and feel I can be very successful if given the chance.
Although, I am exhausted from working for free.

Does anyone have suggestions for companies that are flexible and respectful of agents, allowing agents the chance to build their business ? Please help!

First, most companies want to see production on the books, and some will cancel for non-production. However, 3 months does sound kind of short.

What companies are they? Did to contract direct or through an FMO/IMO?

Have you called the company (or FMO) to find a more specific answer (such as credit issues, BK, complaints, etc.)

The last company stated they were sorry, and that it was something with an automated process. Although I was verbally told to basically ignore the letter, now I am having trouble accessing critical items (agent portal) and cannot get a return call from the staff. At this point I guess I will move on ... again.

I don't have a problem maintaining my health insurance appointments, this only happens with FE. So I don't think it is background or credit.

How often are you contacting them and how much business have you written and how much has stuck? Are direct or though a GA?

I have contacted them for the last 3 days. I was appointed direct. Are agents treated with more respect if they use FMO/IMO?

Usually you're looking at production issues, but at 3 months that sounds odd.

Let me ask it straight out. Were/are you a pain in the assignment that calls and emails constantly and does not produce? Not saying you are just asking.

Unless I'm reading this wrong it appears you have written no business, correct? You don't 'build up' to sales, imo. Go out and put some ink on paper. If you have any company you can write for, that is.
