I know we see threads from time to time where an agent is struggling to find first day coverage for a prospect with that certain lovable combination of medications and health conditions. I'm going to give a shot at starting a thread where we can post these scenarios as they come up with the thought that maybe such a thread could become a sort of consolidated reference rather than have these cases scattered in the flotsam and jetsam of the FE Forum history.

I'm kicking this off because I just got off the phone with a referral who I will be meeting with on Thursday. Here is what she gave me over the phone:

She says she has diabetes, pills only, no insulin. And, she has "a touch of high blood pressure, and just a little of the angina" that is being treated with what looks to me like a cocktail of CHF meds. (She swears that she has never been told that she has heart failure, congestive or otherwise.

Lopressor 75 mg
Lasix 40 mg
Spironolactone 25 mg
Isosorbide DN 20 mg
Plavix 75 mg
Aspirin 80 mg
Nitro .04 as needed
Lisinipril 20 mg
Metformin 850 mg

I'm still pretty new at this, so I figured I'd send this out to the forum sharps to see what y'all might come up with. The nitro is new - sounds like she's been on it less than a year, and she takes it about once/month.

Where would you place her?

I'll throw out Sentinel Security Graded and KSKJ Modified Graded out there as possibilities.

I'd place her close to a Funeral Home - won't be long.

I have insured the Husband a few years.

HBP controlled by a med - Losartan
Thyroid controlled by Levothyroxine

I, as always, prescreened her before driving out there. She "forgot" these meds until I was there.
Had been on Acetani/Codine until March when she was switched to Tramadol as the Codeine did not agree with her stomach.
Tramadol 50 as needed. last fill was this month. Says she rarely takes them but has filled the script twice.
The above is for Arthritis leg and back pain.

I did not see Tramadol in the TA list.
Any thoughts on if the Tramadol is going to be an issue with TA. The searches I did only had cases with multiple health issues.

Lee, it doesn't look like your question was actually addressed. I don't use TA myself, so I can't answer for them. But I can't see Tramadol or even the Acetamin/Codeine being an issue for any of my FE carriers, if it's being used only as needed for Osteoarthritis pain.
