Stump the Field Underwriters

Lee, it doesn't look like your question was actually addressed. I don't use TA myself, so I can't answer for them. But I can't see Tramadol or even the Acetamin/Codeine being an issue for any of my FE carriers, if it's being used only as needed for Osteoarthritis pain.

Thanks.

The fully underwritten part of me has gotten supprised by a couple pain meds calls recently.

FE is a lot more cut and dry. Thankfully.
TA issued Preferred. Did a PHI because of ownership and I forgot to print the owner name on that damn extra bene form. But issued as applied.

Don't tell Todd :policeman:

I will say this. You FE guys, and my FE, oops< err, I mean my SIWL side are spoiled. Fully underwritten apps can be pretty long. I have one guy that has been in underwriting almost six months. Mostly waiting on APSs on doctors he 'forgot'. And those did not get ordered untill after the Exam was ordered and completed. Sagicor, which is 'Accelerated' underwriting add a grip of questions to their app last year. I just looked at the Americo HMS CBO app. man did that expand!

Does anybody have any carriers that will cover preferred or standard FE for woman with mitral valve prolapse over 12 years ago and taking Propanolol 10mg ?

I think that as long as the person hasn't had any episodes or had their meds or dosages changed in the past 2 years(some companies look back 3 or 5 years for an episode), you shouldn't have any trouble, as long as the Propanolol isn't for CHF. If they do have CHF, there are still options, but might have to go Graded.
