Has been taking it for the past 6 years after getting off pain meds for his back in 2010. Looks like most of the companies have a 2-5 year period I'm assuming that they're wanting the applicant to have been off the Suboxone before approving. So in that case, is Columbian guaranteed issue the only option at his age?

It was a drug addiction to prescription pain meds up until 2010. But now he's been on this Suboxone for the past 6 years which most insurance companies consider to be as bad as the drugs it seems.

Correct, it's basically equal to long term drug treatment for Cancer and how insurance UW hates that.

Just happened to have Columbian's new UW guide laying in front of me. As far as they are concerned, the GI would be the only option because suboxone is a decline if taken in the last 36 months for their FE product.

That's what I was thinking. $10,000 runs around $50 or so a month with that doggone 3 year waiting period at only 6% bonus. The alternative is for him to wait until he makes 40 in December and get SNL graded for only $28 and a 2 yr/10% which would be a better deal for him.

Normally I would agree with anyone waiting but in this case, you are probably right... The SNL would still be in full force before the Columbian. The only possible drawback would be a heath change in the next few months that would keep him from qualifying for the SNL.

If you have GWIC available in your state and his meds have stayed the same or decreased in the past 2 years, when he turns 40 write him Level 1st day with GWIC. $10K Level for $52.52 month.
