Success Rate in COLD CALLING in Los Anegles

I don't disagree. I'm opposed to governement programs including Medicare, yet I sell supps and MA plans.

Rick

Still adding insult to injury is the exemption from the Fed DNC for Politicians and non-profits...Any unwanted call is annoying and Political during the election season are the worst.

Because I'm running for office, I must have received 2 calls each day from companies wanting me to buy their robo-call service. I don't know how they could feel they were exempt from the DNC list.

My understanding is that they would be...Political calls are exempt from the DNC and they are exempt from the Robo-call law....I don't have a problem with the DNC and Robo call laws but I get annoyed that those that create the laws leave themselves exemptions...I believe the laws either should be repealed or amended to remove all exemptions everyone should have to follow the same rules.

On a side note Rick maybe you could have used running for political office to your advantage...The robocall starts political an then changes to a pitch about Insurance...might piss people off but lets face it your a really long shot to begin with.

hey guys, does anyone use the door to door method of trying to prospect other than just leaving flyers on their door step?

There are tons of people I can cold in my are. Rick I will prove you wrong that only broke, old and stupid people are not on the DNC. Let me do a search on my sales genie account and see how many households that make more then a 40,000k a year are not on the DNC.
Here is my HONEST results.

This is in the Denver area

You have 68,956 Prospects.

if you did 50 calls a day, thats 250 per week, 1000 a month, so that list would last for a couple of years. Think if you did a 100 calls a day. Thats 2000 calls a day. That list would last you 3 years.

Calling people out of the white pages is a bad idea. Get access to an info database.

I just did a quick check of T-65 in Los Angeles County. I did no other sort.

Total 24,057 Not on DNC 997

I stand by my comments at least as respect those older and wiser in Los Angeles.

Most people don't want to be called at home. Send out a mailer as you will at least of a 1% chance of a phone call back verses getting a bad name for yourself and your company.

When it was my State Farm days, I remember getting the weekly news form their company. I forget the agency but I believe he is in Katy Texas. What he would do is send out 6 mailers a year to each household the all the homes around him. He also sponsored local football events at High Schools, and had cheer leaders throw free footballs in the crowd at half time, while at the same time advertising his agency. He also is a huge believer is Val U Packs. All I know is they would make over 250 cold calls out of his office each day, to all the people he sent mailers too. He wrote over 2,000 policies a year on auto and homes a couple of years straight. I have the article in my office, maybe I should paste as a thread some time..

If 80+% are on the DNC then you should consider contacting a good list broker and buy the names and addresses of all who are on the DNC and who fit your companies criteria for "preferred" status. Develop(buy) a good sales letter and use direct mail to these folks with a good offer and see what happens.

Many think direct mail is dead...I do not agree. Competition in direct mail is very low in this economy. My worst DM program in the past three years was a 3 to 1 ROI. My best, and current program is 8 to 1 ROI using a list sorted by xdate, credit score, home ownership, length of residency
