Taking App in a Care Facility

Is there a company that allows you to take an application in a care facility?

In Florida, it's illegal to write a pre-need policy by going into or soliciting inside of a care facility (hospital, nursing home, or hospice.)

I'm not familiar with any prohibition, other than company-specific, on doing it for final expense plans. The folks that are near end, though, are going to require a G.I. plan if you have one that takes those with a terminal illness (in those specific cases) and the chargebacks for death in the first year likely wouldn't make it worthwhile.

Seems like the only thing that might benefit them IS a pre-need plan at that stage, but they can't be sold in there.

That law seems more designed to protect insurance companies than seniors.

I am not going into a care facility to solicit business, I have a husband that wants to take out a policy on his wife who is in a care facility, she is in good health but have alzheimer's.

Sad situation. The exception, in the Florida law, allows you to enter and write business when invited.

Any carrier that doesn't do phone screens or check Rx or MIB is fair game. They're not going to know it anyway. If the person lives two years, you're home free, if not, you can always say that you mailed it. Just don't leave any business cards or copies of anything tieing you to the sale at that location. Don't screw up and sign in with your correct name like a dummy either.
