Taxi Insurance

Hello everyone,

I am kind of new to the insurance industry, but I am doing pretty well in commercial lines. Lately, I have been talking to many taxi drivers and they are willing to purchase insurance through my agency. I am having a hard time beating prices. Does anyone know any good general agents or companies that write good taxi policies? I prepared a quote for a prospect and it came out to $7800. He told me that he was paying $4800 for the same exact coverage. I am having difficulty finding some general agents. Can someone please advise? I will really appreciate any advice. I'm located in California.

Thanks

Thanks. I will go ahead and contact Robert Moreno.

I don't know which company it was. I asked him and he told me that his agent just gave him the quote so far and no other information. Maybe he just did not want to disclose the company or maybe he might just lied about the rate. I don't know, but I'm pretty sure the rate he got is much cheaper, that's why he chose the other agent over me. I appreciate your replies. Thanks

I'm in Northern California (Bay Area). Thanks

Off the top of my head these are what came to mind: June Smith at Public Livery Ins. Svcs
Jessica Hewitt at American Business Insurance
Aster or Cheryl at Venice Pacific
Mark Iverson at AmWins

I used RMIS for personal auto, so I'm not sure if they do taxis. Mercury also has a good program.

Best of luck to you.
