Teamsters - Medicare

I have a referral that's a teamster and he's going on Medicare in August. He wants a Med supp. He has a 63 year old wife. In the past, I thought spouses could stay on the Teamster Plan until they turned 65. The gentleman that I spoke with told me they're offering her Cobra for $785 a month.

Any suggestions? What happened to the spouse staying on the plan until they turned 65, has something changed in the last few years?

Teamsters has several different "chapters" and most have their own rules/contracts.

Sounds like a combo sale. Medsupp and a ind. medical for her.
