I cam across this site, health leads 4 you, searching for a new lead source. They provide you with as many appointments as you can handle in a very defined area on a daily basis. Basically, they call off of their list, set the appointment and send you the information the day before. The information does include basic parameters of age, build, known conditions, etc. I have not been able to find any reference on hear about them. The price is only $14.95 per lead and sounds to good to be true. Only commitment is for 20 leads at roughly $300. I also tried Google to source out information, but no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, they do not allow returns, because they state since the appointments are generated the day before and verified by speaking to the actual client. My concern was no shows and they said it does happen from time to time, but it is minimal. I would expect to get stood up now and then. My concern more is towards the legitimacy of the company. I have not been able to track down a lot of information or background on them. I just don't want to be throwing $300 toward a scam.

Okay, I am not really concerned about no shows or returns for $300. I am concerned about the legitimacy of the company. Has anyone ever heard, done business with or know anything useful about the company?

Never heard of them, but, if your entire exposure is $300, it's not a bad thing to try. There are ways to minimize risk in these transactions. I recommend all of the following:

- Have them provide wave files (recordings) of the appointment setting phone call. This will help you prepare for the appointment as well as help you ensure they are not making up appointments. There will be no shows, but this will tell you who was at fault.
- Pay by credit card. Try to use a 'temporary' card. I know my bank lets me log into my account and create a one time use card that has a limit (of $305 in this case) so I can't be scammed for more. You can replace the card if it works.
- Do not pay by check. You would be asking for an eye opening account balance someday.
- Ask others for opinions. You won't always get them. This group must be new since they don't even google, at least not from my office.
- Understand that this is an investment in your business. Even if it does well initially, you need to constantly evaluate the return. If the return isn't there, stop the leads.

$15 is cheap.

I wouldn't touch pre-sets for less than $25 each.

Then again - you get what you pay for . . .

Thanks Dan and Tom. Dan, in your opinion would it be okay to pay with a cashiers check? I understand not wanting my bank account hit if this is a scam. If it is and they attack my credit card (I do not have one of those temporary ones) I don't want the hassle of having to remedy that situation either.

I have my clients pay using a money order, a WalMart Money Pack Re-Load or for an extra 5% - they can pay me with PayPal or Google Checkout.

No complaints so far . . .

Okay, I am new here and I am probably opening myself up to get abused, but so be it. Moonlight, do you have anything positive to contribute to the discussion or do you just sit around waiting to make wise cracks at people who are trying to be helpful?
