Telemarketing Objections

Ok, I tell the prospect I can save them money on their life insurance...then they tell me "we already have life insurance." To me, seeing as how their response is inappropriate to my statement, it seems as though they are just blowing me off. When you hear this from cold calls, what is your response?
Thanks!

I would say something like "perfect, our product is designed for people who already have life insurance. Then I would say "did you know life rates have come down in price as of recent?" "Now is the best time for a no obligation policy review."

"Did you know that you can have too much life insurance?" (then be dead silent) Then I do my backwards formula that usually shows them they don't have enough life insurance but the initial statement that they could possibly have too much takes their guard down. This way you can do an entire new policy or add another.

Here is a book on life called 'life ammo' but i haven't read it.

That's the point... you want them to ask that and then you can show them how some newer policies can benefit them.

"You sure you got enough? If you hang up on me, come tomorrow your wife's going to wake up a widow."

ok, i will bite. 'the which one?'

That's the wonderful equita script for you, it doesn't matter what the answer is, just set the appointment. I love when I accidently find old Equita and NAA people, I can undersell their policies by about 50%. I've been considering sending a mailer out that reads something like:

RECALL NOTICE:
Non-medical term insurance costs you over 50% more than the exact same amount of medically underwritten term life insurance. If you were scammed by a "mortgage protection" agent, I can help.

You want a better question, ask what carrier. Then say you're familiar with them, but if they want honest advice you can help them to save their money.
