Texas Duckies

I just left the duck here in Austin and have interviewed twice with Mutual of Omaha and am impressed so far. Also interviewed with Met Life and have an interview with Mass Mutual this week.

Life after the duck looks promising. Life with the duck seemed like a life sentence. Good luck to you, sincerely. There are good people and products there, I just don't respect the business model.

Why do all the newbies ask question, don't listen to the answers, and then learn the hard way that what they were told is true? It appears to me that most of the questioners look for confirmation not advice.

The people who start with Aflac either don't make it, make it by moving into management, or make it by picking up health and selling health in conjunction with voluntary benefits.

Xrac - I agree with you completely. In my limited experience with the Duck, I have noticed an aversion on the business owners part of adding any cost to their employees, beneficial or not. However, if I could lower their medical premiums, I would be in the door fast.

There is no doubt, the Duck is a tough sell. That said, if you are resourceful enough a person might do alright with it.
