If there is an agent on the forum from Virginia named Stephanie, thank you for not following-up with you clients for two years. THEY ARE NOW MY CLIENTS!!!! Oh yeah, you could have followed-up for about $5.00 per year, or free on the phone, but your lack of follow-up made me about $4200.00 over the next 6 years. You better believe they will hear from me on their birthdays, Christmas, and every 6 months.

NEWBIES, FOLLOW-UP WITH YOUR CUSTOMERS. DON'T THINK ABOUT IT, JUST DO IT. IT IS HARD ENOUGH TO GET NEW CLIENTS, YOU MUST FOLLOW-UP TO KEEP THEM. :biggrin:

I definitely agree. This is a very service oriented business, which is something that most people fail to realize.
 
So...How long have you been in the business VaDwayne?

Less than a year but I have been in sales and sales management for 25. I know the benefit because I would watch the youger guys struggle to find customers and out of an average of 20 or so cars amonth, probably 15 were repeat customers or referrals. Follow-up holds true for all types of sales, well maybe not caskets.
 
Also follow up with your leads after 6 months-1 year. By that time, they aren't getting called by 10 agents and are much more willing to talk to you.
