The Council of Presidents

It has become clear that the current administration is socialist and will irreversibly change this country and strip away freedoms. So to avoid the revolution that will one day erupt I propose the council of Presidents.

Obama unless checked will become a dictator soon. By putting Clinton, Obama, Bush 1 and Bush 2 on a council with governing power we would create a system like the Triuvirate of Rome (Gaius Julius Caesar, Marcus Licinius Crassus, and Gnaeus Pompeius Magnusdurings) in it's darkest hour. By requiring 3 votes to enact the decrees of the senate we will be more assured that a greater subsection of the people are served rather than just the 52.9% that were on the democratic side.

The presidency has grown too powerful and must now be checked with a power share arrangement. Only this arrangement can check the growth of government.

I have a better idea. Let's go back to the checks and balances as written in the Constitution.

This country (as we know it) is doomed. I just don't know exactly when the revolution will start.

No council of presidents can be workable unless it includes Chuck Norris

Isn't it funny how we never heard anything from you or any of you other right-wing whackos during the 8 years of the Bush presidency and six years of Republican majorities about some kind of power sharing or how the country was going to hell? Nope, not a word.... not while your patron saint, George Bush was running things (into the ground... with some help from the Dems to be fair about it.)

You mean to tell me that things have changed THAT MUCH in the past 90 days? You are so afraid that maybe you are destined to be a permanent minority party, relegated to holding a few low-population states in the South along with Texas? Is that it? Is that what leads you to this silly proposal? Paranoia?

The people of the country were somehow "brilliant" when they elected Reagan and then Bush. Then somehow they got real stupid and elected Clinton. But they got smart again and elected W twice. Then stupid again with Obama?

Maybe you guys actually believe this crap, but no one else does. You are just a group of sore losers... or maybe just losers.

Instead of putting forth into the public dialectic real alternatives to the administrations' plans in place of just playing "chicken little" you might be taken seriously.

The majority of people see your policies as exemplified over the past 8 years as failed and discredited. No one has any trust in right-wing, pro-business, conservative, Republican issues.

You are the party of Maddoff and Stanford. You are the party of Wall Street. You are the party of the large auto makers. You are the party of segregationists. You are the party of anti-immigrants. You are the party of the rich, the white, the landed, the gentry, and the privileged. No one wants you to rule them anymore... because you did such a bad job the last time and no one trusts you to be fair, honest, or even efficient. And people know that in your heart of hearts you don't want Obama to succeed and that in your heart of hearts you don't have America or the American people as your first interest... you have the return to power... by any means possible... as your first interest. You are not fooling anyone. I know your kind thinks the polis is basically stupid, but Lincoln didn't... and you're supposed to be the party of Lincoln (although you look more like the party of George Wallace.)

People don't want the gridlock that this silly "council of presidents" would bring. People want their problems solved. It is obvious to them that private sector entities can't do it. So they turn to the government sector.

You had your chance. You did your best to marginalize the other guys. You failed. Now the other guys have their chance and they are marginalizing you... and of course you don't like it... anymore than they did.

But instead of looking for ways to make America fail they came up with attractive candidates with attractive policies that engaged the hearts and minds of the voting public... such that they threw your butts out and brought in a new team.

You can propose these silly conspiracy theories until the moon turns blue, but in the end you will have all the efficacy of a Ralph Nader or a John Anderson. And good luck with all that.
