The Left Doesn't Understand Health Care

Just make a butt naked law. You come in this world butt naked and you leave butt naked. Build up all the cash and assets you like but at death it all goes back to the people except say the first 5 million. Anything after 5 goes to the coffers. Spend it or lose it.
Can you imagine how many foundations would not exist if that was applied? Besides, it is said that if you divided the money equally among all the people living in this country, within ten years, the ones that were wealthy before the division will be wealthy again and the ones that were impoverished would once gain be in poverty.

Oh I see, you guys have jokes. One slightly contrarian post and everyone starts jerking off about their misguided ideas of socialism.

So...you're a Socialist MLM'er. :err:

I propose that, logically, not only does the left not understand it, but neither does the right. If so, at least one side would/could come up with a solution. Yet no one has.

Maybe it's time for the right to stop blaming the left and the left to stop blaming the right for everything that is wrong in this country. Of course, that would mean they would also have to stop thinking about their own pockets in order to really give a damn.

For the most part, they are all crooks in some form or fashion. So, whether you are on the left or you are on the right, stop thinking your party is all that because it ain't!

Right now, a favorite healthcare topic showing up on news feeds is how insurance companies are the bad guy in rising costs. Interesting PR push. If all medical providers were confronted with the reality of accepting Medicare allowable amounts and nothing else, which they actually are if Medicare for All becomes a voted on party platform, one way or another, not gonna fly.
There is an interesting article that discusses the demands made for lots of treatment by USA patients, that patients in other countries wouldn't ask for or probably not be allowed in government run healthcare abroad. The Worst Patients in the World
The writer proposes Medicare for All as the answer, which I don't agree with, but they make a number of Bob's (Somarco's) points about how the universal healthcare systems limit coverage that people are complaining about now, as if universal coverage as operated elsewhere would solve the problem and take care of the demands described in Somarco's original post.

Even worse when Medicare for all rolls out as Medicaid for all.

Obamacare was supposed to be a minimal player. Most folks were supposed to fall into Medicare.

What the folks in DC didn't count on is getting push back from 14+ states who said no. That is the current number. I think a handful of states have expanded Medicaid since 2014.

Funding to DSH hospitals was cut because those monies were not going to need that money once everyone had health insurance/Medicaid.

Rural hospitals are closing due to loss of manufacturing jobs in those areas plus loss of DSH funds.

ER's and OB dept's are closing everywhere including metro areas due to loss of DSH funding.

You never hear about this on the lame stream media.

Obamacare made things worse for a lot more people than it helped.
