Man, if you go over to the Change.org site they are having trouble with the change you can believe in piece. Not good.

Obama and the libs are going to declare victory on something somewhere soon because they have to but if you read that Seattle Times article and this Change.org commentary you will see that they are feeling more defeated than victorious.

Unfortunately the conservatives didnt win either. The whole thing is just a turd in the punchbowl. Most likely we will end out worse off than if we had gone to flat out single payer or if they had clearly supported free market. What a mess.

Lieberman didnt really fall in line with the bill. The dems fell in line with Lieberman. He woulnd go for it unless the public option and the medicare age 55 things were taken out. Since they need to pass anything they did that and flushed the core of the bill down the toilet.

So Joe is technically in their camp now except he nuked their camp. That's not a bad trade-off. I expect to see more of this over in the house with the blue dogs. They will have to keep giving more and more away in order to bring them on board. That's fine. I accept the fact that something is going to pass sometime.

That's very true.

People might be upset with Joe - but as a moderate or whatever you want to call him, he is not a bad guy. Agree or disagree that's fine, but he is not a bad person at all.

This will be interesting if the House keeps or puts back the public option, then it goes to senate and fails again... This is going to get real ugly, real fast.
