The Plavix Problem

Sorry to be a pain in the butt, what better benefits does RNA have compared to Foresters?

Discounts on eye glasses, hearing aids, dental procedures, prescription drugs. All for the whole family, not just the insured. Fraternal aid of $250 in emergency situations.

Fraternal grants. one of my clients got a $2000 grant from RNA.

I really don't know what benefits Foresters has. I've had clients try to use the legal aid and needed a lawyer to figure it out. The CI thing was supposedly a good benefit. I never had anyone use it. It's gone now. You also had to have the policy for two years before it kicked in. RNA's are good to use from day 1. I had a client save $600 on a dental procedure one week after getting his RNA policy.

Still, the benefits are just gravy. The rates are the reason to use RNA.

jdeasy is right that the RNA rates are what sells it. I deal with a lot of agents who use the member benefits to help "close the deal" since they are very attractive benefits. I know clients that have saved money on dental and vision care with the member benefits and also, since RNA agents get access to these benefits, I know plenty of agents who have saved money for themselves and their families (mostly the dental and Lasix benfit). Hell, I used the Dental benefit and it saved me about 40% according to my dentist.

A diabetic who takes plavix? That's a decline with anyone. They may take them on a graded benefit; especially since they are insulin dependent.

I have placed many with RNA, immediate. It has been a couple years since the last however. In fact, I had a lady who was on insulin, a blood thinner, and she had a stroke 6 years prior and they took her. You never know.

Might want to get more knowledge before you post facts that are untrue. Several will issue level coverage to plavix and insulin taking clients.

Americo and Monumental won't and Monumental is very easy on underwriting. SEVERAL? BS.

How cares if it's several or couple? As previously stated RNA will take him and American Memorial will take him. Unless someone is trying to secure over 100k in coverage you don't need more than those two. What's BS is saying "that's a decline with everyone".

Sorry to keep burdening the forum with my underwriting questions, but I have a new prospect that takes Plavix due to having stints put in 6 yrs ago and also takes metformin (oral diabetes medication).

I am looking for a single premium product that will take her on an immediate benefit. Thanks inadvance.
