...and I'm sure mine will be no different.

I recently left my job at Raymond James Financial to start my own business providing web content, articles and blog posts for insurance and finance websites.

I have a series 7 & 66 license along with my life, health and variable annuity license. I've been a life underwriter, a Director of Operations for an insurance office that specialized in 419 plans (yeah, yeah, I know) as well as stock loans. I've also, more recently, been a trader for Raymond James Financial.

I'm hoping that this forum helps me stay in the know with any changes and maybe network with anyone who needs content.

Stop yawning!

You've effectively hijacked my thread with your madd Japanese skillz. I shall attempt to overthrow you with my Pig Latin.

Just curious, what exactly did you do as a "trader" for RJF...? What duties does a "trader" have...? I guess I don't really know for sure. Aren't most traders on the floor of the exhange...? Did you do this from FL or other location...?

Also curious in your pursuit of your own business about the blog and web content for Ins and Fincl industry's... Obvioulsy there must be a market and a way to monetize this, or you wouldn't be doing so... but how does one go from ZERO to 60 in that biz, and wake up one morning making 6-7 figures...? Interesting... I'm just a little fascinated by your approach here... and wish you the best of luck on getting where you wish to go in a speedy fashion.

A trader is one who facilitates trades. There are traders on the floor of the exchange, but there are also traders on the broker/dealer level that place the trades in the client accounts for them--like a financial advisor would do, but since we were in the home office and had over 40k clients, we didn't offer advice as much as guidance.

I don't think you just wake up one day and start making six figures. I've been writing for years and freelanced for a while, building up my client base before I committed to it full time. My approach is really more vague than fascinating, I'm sure :)
