This Time of Year....

do you keep pace with your normal production or do you spend time planting seeds for next year? It seems as soon as the calender turns over to November, people's reasons not to commit get longer:

"My kid's school is closed this week because of teacher's convention, get back to me next week"

"I'm heading out of town for Thanksgiving, give me a call the first week of December"

"I'm swamped with holiday parties, try me the week after X-mas"

"Get back to me after the holidays"

I'm looking to add more life insurance to my business, but are people willing to commit at the end of the year or will they use it as another excuse. The above reasons seem to be used by many people regardless of the product or service. How does everybody handle this time of year? Thanks for any input!

December has always been my best month, you other agents take time off during the Holidays, I dont, I make money, thank you very much

Well maybe this time of the year for u you can do policy reviews and increase coverages and that way u can add value and new sales at the same time.

Sell it: "Mr. Prospect, the new year is coming and most people like yourself put this off until then. They all apply on January 5th--and really slow down the underwriting process. Do you want your policy in a few weeks or a few months? Let's beat the rush and apply before the masses."

Anything works if you do.. Will some use the holiday season as an execuse to avoid you, Yes!

December is the worst month for my renewals. June, July are my best month.

It's funny the month u need the most money for gifts and holiday lunch etc. Is the month u get paid the least.

Wrong business. No way I love my business. 13 years and still young to do maybe 20 more and have the kids take it over.

Glade November and December are good for you. Cheers.
