To Lease or Own...That is the Question

I would recommend the Honda Pilot or CR-V. You can't go wrong with Honda

I love Hondas they are great cars. My choice and ratings as far as durability and dependability in car brands outside of any luxury cars are:

1.Honda
2.Subaru
3.Toyota
4.Nissan
5.Ford/Mazda
6.GM
7.Chrsyler

Besides daubling in insurance I own a shop that works on 300 cars a month. Everyone there would agree on the top three although they might argue about the order.

I like your order, and would say I would agree. I would never recommend a Chrysler to anyone but other than that, I think you are spot on. You know, when I got out of the car business I went to the auction and bought an off-lease 07 Ford Taurus, and that car has been awesome. I never thought I would have said an American car is awesome, having worked for Honda for so long, but Ford has come a long way. I bought it because they depreciate so fast that I knew I could get a lot of car for a little bit of money. In 2008, I bought an 07 Taurus SE for 8200.00. It's MSRP was 25000.00.

The Ford 500 (Taurus) and Fusion seem to be completely different cars than the old Taurus. The Taurus that preceded the Ford 500/Taurus are very problematic.

Something to think about. Just a month and a half ago I went on line to "Craig's List.com" and looked for cars for sale. I came across a 2006 Buick LaCrosse CXL with 58,000 miles which had been in an accident and totaled by Farmer's Insurance. I took a friend, who is a retired auto damage appraiser with me to see the car. He said there was no frame damage and they did a great job on the repair and paint job. It's an absolutely gorgeous car and it only cost me $7,000. I'm thrilled!!!
