To Leave A Message or Not To Leave A Message?

I'm using Josh's dialer and data to make calls right now and seem to be getting lots of answering machines. I was wondering in anybody has an opinion on leaving a message?

I have been going about 50/50. When I was working life insurance leads we didn't leave messages as we figured they would just not answer our calls once they associated our number with a life insurance conversation, think it's probably the same for home and auto?

Is this list scrubbed for the DNC list? When we did telemarkeing back then I would never leave a voice mail. Since they do not know you they will not call you back.

I think leaving a message is a waste of time.
