Top Methods To Market Insurance Online - Interview With Jeff Root Of DigitalBGA

I think the guy is doing good, I bet he's on direct deposit
Yeah but, yeah but, a F2F guy is going to replace all his business.

I know it is true. I read it here. There is only one way to do this.

I am just poking fun. The guy is killing it. Some people have said seniors do not have cell phones then they said they do not use the internet then they do not use Facebook.

Hell, my kids do not use Facebook much. All my 55 plus friends can not stay off of it. I belong to a large Veterans Organization. In the clubroom it looks like a bunch of grey hairs teenagers with everyone on their phones.

I am not an FE guy by any stretch. But one of the first questions I ask a new senior client. Is this your cell number? Then do you text and email. Then do you have a printer. Then what is your date of birth.

I got a call from a senior client this morning. She asked me if I got her text. Wino - no, what number did you text? Carleen - this number I just called you on. Wino - That is my office landline. Carleen - you still have a land line?

Listened to that podcast. Man writing 20k in a week is beyond impressive. Never thought FE was something searched online let alone that much.

I would wager the majority of those clients have checking accounts. Also, pure guess, they do not fit the zero income filter. So probably not the true FE market. Total guess on my part though

Maybe you are right but at the end of the day, if the is business is written, it doesn't matter if it's they typical FE market or not. Good on him.

I sat down for an in-depth interview with Jeff Root, author of The Digital Life Insurance Agent, to discuss his best-practices for marketing life insurance online.

If you are a new or experienced agent, looking to leverage the power of the Internet to market insurance, then this interview is perfect for you.

Enjoy!

Solid interview from two very experienced life agents!

I've bought FE SEO leads before & can confirm that they're basically the exact same people that are filling out DM cards.

Not true.

SEO generated leads are seniors proactively going online to research life insurance. A completely different set of people that send back direct mail. Maybe some overlap, but not much.

The premiums are higher. We don't have as many issues with getting checking accounts. But there's different challenges as well, like children buying coverage for their parents which requires navigating for telesales agents - that doesn't happen very often on DM.

Totally different set of people.

I never said that people that fill out a DM lead have the same type of interest that a SEO lead has. I said they're basically the same type of people meaning demographic wise. Meaning they are still blue collar people that had group term plans with their job but now that they're not working they have no coverage.

I was commenting on my [limited] experience. It is possible your extended experience has been different. I got a lot of leads in the Detroit area & Colombus area which are lower income areas which might be cheaper cost per clicks. Roughly 30%-40% didn't have bank accounts.

I'm just guessing about the lower income areas resulting in cheaper clicks...but that's how it was with DM... the lower income the area the higher the response rate was.

Remember, even very poor people have smart phones today in 2018 thanks to the government programs. & being low income doesn't disqualify them from being capable of making a Google search for life insurance.
