Trying to Decide Products to Sell -- New Agent

Yeah, you might want to take a look at Todd King, too. I've never worked with him, but I've been on this site a while and have never heard any valid complaints about him - only good things. Plus he uses his real face and name which is generally a good sign.

That's why you can't trust Mark... That and the small, creepy hand.

As for Todd, he's okay... The one thing I hate is when I call or email them someone gets back in touch with you and answers the phone.

I mean, I call FMO's to hear "Like a Virgin" play on loop.. not to talk to someone.

@Todd King are brand new agents who start with you usually successful? I've generally heard that it's best to start working under an agent who can work with you in the field. What are your thoughts on this?

I won't speak for Todd, but I will say that working with an agent in the field is only beneficial if the agent is worth a crap.

What you'll find, generally, is people that will hire you and then you're on your own, and say they trained you.

Now, you want to do Annuities. My understanding is NY Life has a killer training program. However, you will definitely be working Project 100.

There's a thread in the Getting Started that's a sticky about life insurance. I'd read that. If you want to lose friends and have family avoid you, Project 100 is totally the way to go.

That's more of a loaded question than you might think. Most agents don't make it in this business anyway, so you have to factor that in. Honestly, the only way I can answer that is to say that some are successful and some aren't. It really depends on the agent most times.

As for annuities, we have a good training program on that, but it won't be easy.

It's just big enough to turn off your air valve, SCUBA boy!
