Two Health Plans at Same Time

Here is a question.

If you currently have an employer group health plan, that does not cover infertility(self-funded plan); and it is too late to dis-enroll.
Is it possible to also enroll in a exchange plan(no subsidies) to have infertility treatment covered?

Basically have two plans.

Yes..according to Blue Cross, it is legal. See the "Coordination of Benefits" definition at this page: Glossary - Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois

However, since this person is not subsidy-eligible, I strongly recommend that he/she bypass the Federal Marketplace (hc.gov) and enroll directly at the health insurer website of choice.
