UIG - United Insurance Group

Anyone Know About UIG United Insurance Group?

Went for an interview this past week. Does anyone have any experience with them? I just got my license and am excited to get started in the Senior Market. I just want to be sure I will get the training I need and the right company to help me get started.

I worked for them about for a year back when it was just supplements. All the agents that were there when I was there left. They run through the agents frequently.:1arghh:

I was very unhappy with them. They paid the smallest commissons possible. At the time they paid $115 and the one I went to paid $250 for the same thing. I was supposed to wait... to get an extra $45 to make it $150... then they wouldn't release me forever.. and even after the mandatory 6 months they dragged their feet.. I was so happy when I was free of them.:1mad:

UIG does a great job in many places in the nation and is now under new management.

However, many former UIG top producers now work for Great American Senior Benefits since it expanded to California, Oregon and Washington.

Google Great American Senior Benefits in Irvine, CA to find out the latest.

People run as fast as you can! They do carreer briefing every week, 20-40 people in a room and sign up 6-8 new agents a week. Most of them quit in a few weeks. You are a captive agent with them. Trainning and leads are horrible! Commissions paid are less than 50% of the street level commissions. Make your own mind people. Go and talk to them, but know what you are getting into it.

Hello,

They are very deceptive. I asked for an open release up front, they agreed and sent me a letter. Talked to a newbie in the office who had to have Jason McClellan ok it. He said sure you can have a release if you want.

The letter was a word document not signed by anybody, I asked them to sign it. Then they balked and said that letter is for when they decide to release thats the letter they use. Key, "when they decide".

This is just my opinion, I do not recommend doing business with this type of deception.

Hello,

Another note, they provide terrible customer service. When they say they will call you back regarding an issue they do not and you have to hound them to get anything done. Stay away from them at all costs. Its not worth it. Just my opinion after experiencing them and hearing a bunch of BS from them.

Thanks!
