Universal American Agents

Hello all,

I am thinking about applying with Universal American as a Senior Agent. I need some insight into this company and would appreciate any information that a current UA agent or former UA agent could give to me.

Was it difficult getting the job with UA? How was the interview process? How was the salary? Was it base pay plus commissions and benefits or was it just commission only? What is their lead program? Are their Medicare plans competitive with other major carriers?

Thank you.

Salary? Ha thats funny. Instead of salary they just offer really low commissions and mediocre products.

Supposedly they are more competetive in the midwest but i dont know that to be true.

What state are you in?

Virginia, Harry Renard. Do they have good solid training?

Thanks.

Thanks, medx I had read that thread but I wanted some additional information on UA. For a person starting out in medicare sales, what company would be a good company that provides solid training and commissions if not UA?

Run away! They are the new United American. a lot of the old United American Branch Managers and Directors went to Universal American 2 years ago and are running the "Turn and Burn" method.
The Commissions are very Low they give a "Bonus" based on production but your production counts as half so $1,000 AP counts as $500. They show if you write $14,000 of AP you get a 2k Bonus. but really you have to write 28K a month of AP.
