Utah Paper Contractor

This is meant for Utah Agents:

So my agency is from CA and has a heavy hold in Ca contractors and being this is our first year in the state of Utah I was wondering of any companies that will write Paper contractors in Utah. My usual go to for contractors in Utah is United Fire Group and Financial Pacific for Cali. FP does not write in Utah and United Fire will not touch a paper contractor with a 10 foot pole. The guy is currently with AUTO-Owners who is a big player here in Utah, normally I smoke them with United Fire on contractors but alas they wont touch this one. Does anyone know if Travelers will, How about CNA (have appointments with both but my underwriters are still unfamiliar with UT being they are Cali Underwriters... don't ask). I have crouse & associates to go to if it has to be done wholesale but would rather see if I can place it before I go that route. Any suggestions ?

You might look at Colorado Casualty (Liberty mutual). The agent I am affiliated with writes a ton of contractor business through them. I am not clear on a paper contractor, but on most things other than small car dealerships they beat Auto owners and Travelers.

Yea we dont write for them her in Utah, we write for their sister company Golden Eagle in Cali. This guy is 100% subs and Travelers will not touch him. I may have to check CNA. I dont really use any Utah MGA's so I may have to check to see if crouse has access to Colorado Casualty. Thanks
