Morning everyone,

I am contracted with Kemper and the rates are rather high. I have access to contracting with Gerber, but not too happy with the as earned commission.

Does Vantis have good rates in Florida? Who should I contact for contracting? (I already talked to Newby and Todd King, they wont work for me) What is the commission level for Vantis?

(Yes I also already have Americo, UHL and others for GI products but they are way too expensive, hence why I have Kemper to offer but looking for an additional carrier for GI):)

Thank you!

Talk to Brad Aden for a Vantis Life contract.

Most competitive GI carrier, gives me an average of 1 extra sale per week.

Huge downside is you owe the carrier back 100% of earned premiums if the policy lapses within the first year, and 50% of the premiums if the policy lapses in the 2nd year.

Policy issue is fast, agent support is mostly competent. Besides reading my fax wrong a few weeks back on a requested issue date, I've never had trouble with them out of the 40 or so apps I've sent them over the past year.

Vantis will advance but the commissions are very low (40%) and the chargebacks are hello 24-months. Why would you want to be advanced on a GI product which if you are smart you won't spend the commission on anyway?

If you want Vantis, Brad Aden (Win on the forum) is the place to go for it.

Yes I was considering all of those also. I wouldn't spend the money anyway, but I just wanted info on all my options. Until you just responded I didn't even know the commission level.

You couldn't Newby or Todd to work for you??? ;)

Newby won't cus he wants all my contracts with him. Todd will work for Gerber but he doesn't have vantis, which I'm staying away from vantis now anyway after getting some details :)

Since contracting with SNL & GPM, I have not used Vantis but 1-2 in the last 2-3mos. I used to use them 2-3/mo...but if you work a heavily smoker area, then Vantis is going to be the way to go.

Our agency doesn't want GI only business. I don't really understand why an agent would have everything at one FMO and want to put GI only with us anyway. But regardless the GI business is way to ripe with chargebacks. I just refer them to Todd for Gerber or Brad for Vantis if they only want GI.

We are trying to keep our agency lean and mean so we really only want agents who have their main FE companies with us. We are more interactive with our producers and we can do a better job with 400 contracts with 100 agents than we could with 400 contracts with 400 agents.
