Washington/Oregon WTF? No HC for Kids?

fire them as employees of the federal government

It's not the pay, it's the perc's.

LBJ came to Washington with one suit and everything he owned in a cardboard suitcase. He left office a millionaire.

I've had a grandmother taking care of her grandson where mom and dad were nowhere to be found- "sorry, you're not the legal guardian" Same with a couple caring for a child while the parents were in Africa. I'm pretty new to this business and am just dumbfounded by how naive the public at large is and am getting to the point where I believe people like Rush Limbaugh who say this stuff is designed to be such a disaster that people demand single payer. Had a lady on Monday scream at me because her kid was coming off HealthyKids in Florida and I quoted her a $150 policy (I did this on purpose because I could tell her mindset). She was downright beside herself that "insurance" was going to cost more than $15/mo. Her: "What do they expect her to do?" --I dont know, pay for your own sh*t? was what I wanted to say. I did ask her if she paid for her own car insurance but she was in such a rant I dont know if she heard me. The more I talk to people that are used to getting all the freebies without any clue of how they are paid for the more I worry about the future of this country. BTW, "I'd like a $10 copay for my food" -classic.

That would be per occurence so about the cost of say an applebees lunch.

Had a case recently father required to cover kids in court order, he is 2 years post breast cancer surgery, called me yesterday and he is in contempt of court, judge doesn't believe him and wants proof, so he must apply and get denied to present to judge.

What is crazy is instead of putting him in contempt the wife could have also applied for insurance to cover the kids and make him pay it...Don't get me started on Judges just because they order a person to do something does not mean a business they do not control cares or has to comply.

This is a real problem for those looking for child only. Doesn't exist except in a handful of states.

If mom doesn't work, or has a job but no benefits, then what?
