4. Workforce motivation

The biggest trend is probably the health care reform which has made healthcare insurance VERY affordable to ALL Americans.

The massive influx of healthier Americans has made the life insurance industries recalculate their mortality tables and those rates have plummeted.

Also once people learned that whole-life insurance was a complete rip-off the sales of level term life insurance skyrocketed. Now people only keep the coverage for 20-years and at the end of the 20-years they are all debt-free and have a HUGE pile of cash and are self insured.

On a side note good growth-stock Mutual Funds seem to be averaging 12+ percent over the long haul according to some of the top radio financial advisors.

A big trend in terms of insurance, is that many people are seeking alternatives to western medicine in the form of natural medicine and things like yoga which take a more rounded approach at overall well-being.

In terms of technology, females between the ages of 50-65 are a demographic that is quickly adopting technologies like Facebook and other social media. The elderly population is being introduced to more and more technology through their grandkids as well....
