What are you successfully selling in the benefits market and how are you marketing these products.

My business has declined over the last few years and I'm looking for new products to market that have been successful for others or new marketing ideas.

Any ideas or help is greatly appreciated.

You are not alone.

Right now the only thing I am having any success with on the group side is selling Individual plans in place of the group plan and this would pertain to groups under 10 lives.
Cold calling is how I am marketing this.

Another option is Hospital and Surgical plans.

My other thing right now is picking up AOR's on small groups.
This is coming from cold calling also.

I've never been success in getting aor's. they never seem to want to change even if they are not 100% happy. how do you approach this?

I've had luck by asking if their agent has completely forgotten about them.

Mentioning they can lower their costs might hook them too.

That being said, in this tight economy it seems that everyone is scared to make ANY changes. Even if it makes sense.
