What Base Did You Start At?

A question for the other captive agents out there out of curiosity. When you took your first job as an agent, what was your base pay? I know they'll be some variances depending on company, location, and experience but Im wondering how much of a variance there really is? (I started at 33K with the base decreasing over the next 4 years)

Sounds pretty generous depending on what the commission structure is.

$28,000 was my base when I started.

I was very fortunate, I was given a $3000 per month base for 12 months and a $3000 per month draw for an additional 6 months. 40% new/ 30% renewal.

I was offered a $24,000 base (no decrease over time). This is the highest base offered by an agency thus far. I'm still interviewing.

I started scratch with no base first few months were not good (started in P & C) years back
