What can you tell me about this FMO ?

Hey Patch...... are you having a reading problem ???? That's two reading errors in one thread ! :D

Seriously.... they contacted me and want me to attend a seminar in Rochester on Thursday and I didn't want to go if they were not a good FMO and I respect you guys so much I was looking for some input before I answered yes or no.

But seeing as how nobody has anything to say about them, I'll let you guys know on Friday..... fair enough ?????

Nothing bad said about them may be a great endorsement ;)

The last wasn't a reading error, it was a mistake. :) That may be worse than a reading error.

You can't even find them on the internet. That would be a flag for me. What are you looking for in a FMO? DO you only want to sell MA plans? That's not a good idea. It will not hurt to go to the seminar but I would not sign anything until you check back.

smsteam.net has a rate chart that compares the med sups in any given state that I find useful.

I agree with SAI. You do not want to go into a customers home with just MA's. You need to have both so you can give them all the information to make an informed decision. If you don't, another agent will eventually come in behind you and do the job you should have done to begin with.

I sell MA's, Med Sup, LTCi, Life, FE and the dreaded Aflac, so I have a pretty rounded portfolio. I'm looking to see what they have that my FMO's don't.

I "googled" them and looked at their web site but it doesn't give much info that would help me make a decision one way or the other.

Like I said, I'll let you guys know about it after I meet with them.

Hi guys, I was previously g1bass but lost my password, I need to weigh in on this because I am contracted with Medicare Advantage Plan Services, LLC. I can do nothing but tell you my experiences with them. I started as an independent agent through them, they give decent training and have some competent people working in their office. They WILL NOT hold your hand, but they will offer you some of the highest street level commissions around and they have been honest and above board with me on every level.

If you have further questions feel free to message me.

There are good and bad FMOs out there. Just look at all of the posts about the bad ones... You want to look for an FMO that you can trust from day one.

There are a few that I would recommend (other than us, of course). PM me and I'll give you my thoughts.

There you go, a testimonial from a fellow agent.

If they are paying for the trip & everything...It doesn't hurt to check them out...Just use your gut feeling if they're blowing smoke somewhere...

PS...Patch sure is helping everyone rack up those posts...even himself.
;)

Today's meeting went in a very positive direction. I have not found one piece of anything negative about MAPS and we're contracting with them to sell Wellcare in New York. They also have Cigna and United Health.

And just for Rick, I asked about a guaranteed release before hand and they said no problem and included it in the contract package.

The Street Agent commissions in New York are very good, $525 for MAPD so my agents will love it.

If you get a chance to look at them, I'd do it.

Thanks to everyone for their help, and especially Patch for helping my post count !
