What do you think of this plan to dramatically cut group premiums?

Hi,
I just ran across an Arizona-based firm that offers low cost partially self-funded group plans. It looks too good to be true. And we know when something looks to good to be true, it usually IS too good to be true. The firm that sponsors this plan is called
Redirect Health

Do you know anything about this firm or the plan?

Thanks.

Arrowhead Health Centers Story - Arrowhead Health Centers

This program is an ERISA self-funded insurance plan managed by Redirect Health exclusively for members of the Modern Business Council. The risk pool is managed by Newpath Mutual Insurance Company.

Translation, it's a self-funded MEWA.

See Plan Document for coverage limitations and details. Hospitalization benefits are optional and members(s) can choose to opt out for a lower plan cost.

Yeah, that's scary . . .

Not insurance, just a discount . .

Never pay more than you should

WTH does that mean? Another discount plan?

In/Out of Network Flexibility
Freedom to choose
your own provider

With ANY plan you are ALWAYS free to choose your own provider.

Lot's of talk about health CARE, discounts, "never pay more than you should" . . . not much about INSURANCE . . . except bashing carriers.
How it works

This is scary shit if you ask me.
