What is Considered a Quality Home Inventory

What do insurance companies consider a quality, put together home inventory. Photos only? Written documentation only? Both photo and written documentation?

What is the process when someone's home burns to the ground or a tornado hits and they have no home inventory? How does the insurance company go about helping the homeowner recreate what they had.

I think the best approach is a detailed video recording coupled with an itemized inventory including date purchased and cost.

Why don't you limit the question to the other thread you already started and asked a similar question?

Excuse me sir, I came here seeking information, if you have no information to share with me, except to badger me, well then.......How is someone supposed to learn if we don't ask. Thanks to the others for your responses.

Sometimes the best response is no response.

Well, if you bothered to read the other thread you started, I actually answered the question in great detail, and showed exactly what an insurance carrier wishes to see when processing a personal property loss.

Happy to help, and you are welcome (sans thanks). I just don't like people spamming the same question in multiple threads.
