I'm by no means an SEO Expert, but after reading "Marketing in the Age of Google," and "In the Plex," I believe SEO/Pagerank has diminished over time.
It's really about giving good, relevant content to what the user is searching for.
The foundation of our business is for our local agents/members to brand themselves collectively. If my page is 34567insurance.com, and a consumer in 34568insurance.com sees it, that's an "impression." Long story short, it allows our members to brand a collective message, while staying exclusive to their local zip code(s). And what is that message? "I'm your agent for your zip code, and you don't have to worry about spelling my name right to find me. Just use your zip code and insurance..."
