What The Hell is Going On | BCBS/Aetna/Cigna

Yep.

We need Trump back. Fix the funding issue. Axe the IRA that causes this issue in the first place.

I have not had 1 senior yet save money on Rx’s yet because of that. In fact most pay more now and have less benefits and increased co-pays.
So none of your clients take expensive drugs? I’ve saved clients thousands of dollars on next years plan. Most extreme was the client that takes 41000.00/year and will pay 360.00 on his MAPD plan for 2025. Lot’s of others are also going to save a ton but companies are going to get killed on Part D. Sure that’s what they are cutting all the commissions.

The problem is that the large percentage of people who never hit their drug deductible can be paying more and those folks are very unhappy because of that. This is due, I think, to the $0-5/no copay not counted agains the deductible tiers that now have much higher tier prices/copay prices and now are part of the deductible with most of the plans around here.

No. I have a few that do but they are not covered under any formulary so the $2,000 cap still makes no difference

Whats going on is very simple . Mapd CO’s termed almost 2.5 million mapd plans for 2025. The big vacuum has caused a massive influx of business to other carriers causing panic with potential claims liability .Remember these plans being termed weren’t profitability so these “ higher claims” people rushed to the available carriers left. Now with all those plans becoming non commissionable and the available plans left will be swamped with new business causing more closures . The only company that can handle this massive potential claims liability or big profit is United . United not chasing the shiny penny the last 5 yrs has put them in an incredible position here

UHC has become hands down my favorite carrier. The only one who isn’t giving out freebies all the time.

How can that be ? Federal Goverment is paying Med Advantage 22% more than OM.
But most of the Med Advantage plans are owned by for profit companies. They also need to pay their stockholders (so less for medical care; if they didn't give the stockholders a decent return on investment stock prices would tank, stockholders would bail and the company would be jeopardized that way too), top execs get paid huge amounts of money, and then there is the freebe cost for those who offer freebes. That cuts into money available for health care and so being paid more doesn't mean more money to cover health care costs if the company is for profit.

Seems like 20% of mine take Eliquis. That one alone saves them money. They pay 47.00 for 11 months and get December free. The more they take then the more they save from there.
