What time do you turn your leads on?

I have been purchasing 5 shared leads per day for a few weeks. They are sent to my inbox usually between 1 & 5 am. So most of these are likely generated the night before.

Do you guys leave your leads service on 24/7 or do you have a window of time where you have it on?

It sounds like you want to turn them off around 10:00 p.m. and reactivate around 8:00 a.m.

I believe one of the lead company reps posted here (about a month or so ago) that leads received after 9:00 p.m. were held so brokers didn't call the client late at night.

With some lead services, you can't do that (like NetQuote).

I'm not a good one to ask. I'll only call them in the evening if they ask. If we have never spoken before, 5:00 is my latest call.

I would assume that you can effectively call to about 7:00 p.m. Anything after that, you don't know what you are interrupting.

Internet leads are SUPPOSED to be in real time. However a lot of lead companies will hold the leads from the previous evening and send them out the following morning.
As far as I am concerned this is a dishonest practice, as I am paying for real time leads, not 11 hours old. Consequently I will not turn on my leads until after noon, and hope that all of the old leads went to other agents. Even this does not guarantee that I will not get the old leads, as it looks very suspicious to me that I will get the first lead at 1215 the second at 1315, third at 1415 and so on. Coincidence, I don,t think so. These companies just keep on sticking it to the agents.:arghh:

Which lead companies allow you to turn leads on & off at will?

Vimo does (or did).

Does.

A lot of companies (Insureme etc) do not have on/off switches. However you can set up another profile, use just one zip code, filter up the wazoo, deactivate your main profile and leave the one zip code running.

I usually have my leads set-up to come on at 8:30AM and b/c I only purchase a small/limited number of leads each day, I usually have all the leads I'm going to get for that day by 9:30AM or 10:00AM at the latest. If I don't reach them right away in the morning, I try again in the afternoon and then again between 7:00PM - 8:30PM.

LEADCO does allow you to turn your leads ON and OFF at will. I've been using them for LIFE leads for a little over a year now. I have found them to be O.K. not really any better or worse than some of the other companies I have purchased leads from (and I've tried InsureMe, VIMO, and Most Choice). Like the others, at times it does seem that they oversell their leads to too many agents; and their refund/credit policy is not as good as it used to be. Over time, I have just decided to only purchase a very small/limited amount of internet leads because they just don't seem to provide much ROI any more. Now I only purchase 5 leads per day MON - THUR and then I completely turn it OFF until Monday rolls around again.

Once I actually had a lady to tell me that I was the 21st person to call - which is ridiculous - but a true story - and of course - she was not a happy camper about it. Nor was I.
