Where to Begin?

Hi there, I was hoping to get some help in starting out. I have talked to quite a few companies that after speaking with them found out they had bad reputations. I'm really not sure who to work for, unfortunately I do not have alot of money to buy leads and would like to get started asap. Any advice?

how about telling us more about you and your situation? P&C, Life, Health...what are you getting into? Hard to respond when we know nothing about you.

What do you want to sell?

Med Supps are the easiest, least costly type of insurance to start with.

If you would like to discuss it give me a call, anytime.

An agent that can not afford leads is like a McDonalds that can not afford hamburger buns.....that's just the way it is my friend.

You should talk to Frank S. above.

I am licensed in Fl and NC for L&H, and med supps. I started training with a company in medicare supplements and advantage plans as well as life however the hours they wanted me in the office made it so it wasn't feasible to have a 2nd job until I got my feet wet so I had to leave there. Like I said, I don't have a lot of start up money so I will have to work pt elsewhere until I start selling. Any input is appreciated, thanks.

Did you like that market? Did you get a chance to make any sales at all?

Be independent and sell med supps and MAPD plans, cross sell FE. You can make your own hours and work PT if you feel like it

I did like it, I just wished it was more flexible hours. The training was good but couldn't finish it since I had to get a different job to pay the bills ;(. So no I hadn't sold anything but I can say I prefer med supp to advantage plans. I'm just not sure which companies are the best to sell there's quite a few out there.
