A lot of the FE veterans on here know right off the top of their head what's the best carrier is for a client with a certain medical condition. For the newbie, anyone ever put together a carrier underwriting cheat sheet that they can put in their kit? What's the best way to learn about each carriers underwriting before actually getting appointed with them?

Read the apps. Your upline should be able to email you the PDFs. Read those and the underwriting requirements in the agent guide. Your upline should have those too.

Or you could just google them.

Get the apps.

Most knock out the same conditions, and only vary slightly on a few issues.

Write those conditions down, their look-back period, and create a matrix of each company to assist you in which direction you'll go.

Eventually you won't have to rely on it and you'll know underwriting back and forth without any difficulty.

I have a pretty good cheat sheet if you pm me your email i will forward to you. but like the others have said studying the underwriting guides and applications and the rx guides like americos or rna's will help the most
