Yes, you absolutely want control. You want the interested party to know who you are and what you do before you ever have your initial conversation and the consumer must feel the need to contact you to solve his or her problem or address his or her concern.

Buying a generic lead where you have to call on the lead is a waste of time, especially if it is not an exclusive lead that was not self-generated from the consumer coming to your own website. In this instance you have NO control. These are type of leads that are pitched by many lead generators to insurance producers, and are totally worthless.
