It depends on the carrier, and the State DOI, under the current "if you like your plan you can keep your plan" dance.
The House of Representatives passed a measure 247-167 Thursday to allow consumers to keep their pre-ACA plans, and it had the backing of 25 Democrats. Hasn't passed the Senate yet, and President Obama threatened to veto any bill that reverses what he has done on healthcare.

I received the most gently written cancellation notice from BCBS of Az last year Oct 2013 but they delayed the actual cancellation until? I just dont feel like calling them.
Glad you liked the letter. Usually "we are dumping you" letters start with "You are valuable to us......." !!!!
BCBSAZ is extending all grandmothered IFP plans into 2015. They renew 1/1/2015, but rates are not going up much. By the way, "grandmothered" means the policy is a pre-ACA policy that was effective after 3/23/2010 when the law was written, but before 1/1/2014. IFP means Individual and Family Plans. Group plans are not being extended past 12/31/2014.
