Hi, I just needed to ask a question of how does one go about choosing the right zip codes in ones area. The reason for the question is when I have contacted people from cards or because they called after seeing a commercial I have had a nice amount of people say well I can't afford it now or the cost is too much for them. I am new to FE so have patience with me.
 
Your upline should be able to wlak you through the process off picking an area to run leads. I usually look at the overall population, average cost of homes, number of non whites living in the are with a good overall mix.

I give my lead provider a zipcode and he gets me the number of leads I need within a thirty mile radius.

Let's also not ignore that "I can't afford it" is one of the number one objections to most sales. Although it's possible that many of the folks you met with couldn't afford it, some of them were just telling you they didn't see the value in what you had to offer. You may want to try doing some practice pitches with your upline or another experienced agent to help you figure out if perhaps some of the challenge you're facing has to do with your pitch vs your prospects.
