Worker's Comp Bundled with Group Health Carrier or POP/Cafeteria

Re: Worker's Comp Bundled with Group Health Carrier or POP/Cafete

Well I am writing Anthem BC in CA with "Employers" WorkComp with only a single license!

I have attached the brochure for reference. Keep in mind that this is underwritten by the carrier and can be denied. I am told by my administrators that if my group gets denied to push them to the State fund.

Please let me know if you think this leaves my group with large risk exposure as I am not privy to this area.

Salut!
EMPLOYERS is actually competitive for industries in their appetite guide. They love doctors, professional occupations, CPA's, etc. They claim they check claims against the medical policy if integrated and they are able to offer 10% off. This allows them to reduce fraud. If you integrate you don't need a P&C license. You can also move it to a GA and still get paid.

When you say GA do you mean move it to a General Agency or Georgia? If you mean General Agency, do you know of GA's offering other integrated products, I currently use Benefit Mall and haven't had problems with them so never looked elsewhere, i.e. Word & Brown.

Yeah, General Agency. I use Word and Brown and Warner Pacific. Benefit Mall is good too from what I hear. I like working with two because I get great info from both reps.

Interesting, do you split up your groups with the two GA's or do you mostly write them with one?

I put all my groups through Benefit Mall and they know that so I email 3 reps at once within the GA and they all always put inputs because they know that when I write, I write with them. They love me, or so they tell me haha!

Nonetheless, back on track, if anyone does know of a good "integrated work-comp" policies please let us know!

In CA you can sell WC with Life, Health & Accident license.

You can sell a work comp like coverage that looks like WC in California. It is called 24 hour coverage and includes Medical and DI. It is usually sold as a rider to LLC Members and Corp excluded officers on their Work Comp Policy.

You need to have a Casualty license to sell work comp as required by CA and all State Laws. Please see this link to the CA Dept of Ins for a direct explanation of Lines per license.
Lines of Insurance

You can look at the A&H Lines explanation at:

Thanks for the info. I've often wondered about that. You've got my credit.

I wasn't able to send private messages due to my activity and apologize in advance for a reply not specifically pertaining to this topic.

I'm looking for an experienced "Workers Comp" broker licensed in NY that is interested in working together on a few cases right away.

I'm available to chat for the rest of the day.

Thank You
